The starting point is at Takachiho-gawara and you will climb up to the peak of Mt. Takachiho, which is 1,574m (5146 ft) up. This course will take you about one hour and thirty minutes. Some of the trails maybe tough and but the scenery is beautiful with sight of Mt. Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. Mt. Takachiho is the place where the gods first descended down to Japan. Don't forget to check out the sword "Ama-no-Sakahoko" that Niniginomikoto left behind.
