| Lake Ohnami was once a volcano but as
it became inactive water began to collect in the crater, forming
into a lake. The course takes you up to Lake Ohnami, which lies
1412 m (4617 ft) above sea level. To get to the top of the hill
it takes about 40 minutes. Surrounded by redden pine trees, fir
trees, and Japanese hemlocks, you can enjoy the sounds of field
birds as you work your way up to the lake. Once up Lake Ohnami you
are exposed to an array of scenery. The view of the lake combined
with the nature that surround it makes for eye-popping scenery that
cannot be explained in words. Enjoy this scenery as you walk the
circumference of the lake. The course takes about 1 hour and 30
minutes. |
