●Mayor Sonora greeting

○Greetings to the people of Kirishima． On behalf of the City Council，Staff，and citizens of Sonora，California，I extend greetings from your American sister city．We were very happy to host Mayor Yoshimura and his distinguished cabinet of city offcials last July for the sister city ceremonies here in Sonora．Our business community was very happy to see visitors from Japan，especially the owner of the Sonora Inn where the offcials stayed．In fact，I met that owner the other day and he asked about the well-being of members of the group．We have been honored by you many times in the past when young people from your area have come to stay in OurCity，but we were never honored so greatly as when Mayor Yoshimura and his officials came to visit． We in Sonora treasure our sister city relationship with Kirishima and we are working actively to promote travel and cultural exchanges between our locales． Best wishes from all of us here in the Crown Jewel of the Mother Lode，Sonora， California，USA Liz Bass Mayor，City of Sonora
