Details of Kirishima and Sonora Sister City Pact
Up to this point, we have put into effect a program of exchange through youth homestays and other events. We then sent Sonora our town's tourism video and other materials, and sounded out their feelings about a sister-city agreement. After they expressed their agreement, we signed the sister city contract.

- Training Abroad Work: 5 people (2 in Sonora for field survey)

- Junior High/ High School Homestay Program- 7 children (3 in Sonora)

- Yarrow Dunham, Coordinator of International Relation, started arrangements with the Deputy Mayor of Sonora.

<2000>
- Signing of the Sister City Pact between Kirishima and Sonora (July 24)

- Junior High/ High School Homestay Program- 5 children (3 in Sonora)
