/Bungozuka

Bungozuka is found in Bungozako. It is thought that this grave is to honor the dead. There are many different explainions for this grave.
According to the book, Sankokumeisyouzukai and Higashishisonoyamakyodoshi, during the warlord era of Japan there was a battle between the soliders of Bungo and Shimazu at Oujishi in the village of Okubo. Because there were many causualities in this area, it was called Bungozuka to honor the perished.
