/The Tombstone of Ouji

This tombstone lies in the bamboo grove behind Tokuda Moritsune's house in Bungozako. From long ago, there is a place called, "Oujisaka". This place is the hill that lies north of Tokuda's neighborhood toward Bungozako.
Ouji is the center of all roads. To the east is Kobayashi and Takarabe; to the west is Haruyama and Matsunaga; to the south is Irito and Shigehisa. Before the Meiji era, there was a teahouse for travelers at Ouji.
Ishihokora and Ishimuro is called Ouji. Also, there is a monument called Syouhou. Syouhou is thought to be a monument for the dead.
This Ishimuro is called "Zuishinzou". Long ago there was a shrine placed in this area. It is thought that the shrine stood either in front or next to Ishimuro.
