/The Rice Paddy God

Within the town of Kirishima, no one thought that a Rice Paddy god existed but at the bottom of the road that leads to Kirishima Jingu (around the area of Housenkan somen shop) they detected a small field. They honor the opening of this field, which occurred during the generation of Yoshimatsu's (owner of this field) grandfather, about 100 years ago. The image of the Rice Paddy God was donated about 20 years ago. The image is about 15cm tall and made of cement. It holds a rice scooper in its right hand, and wears a straw hat. This is a very standard image of a Rice Paddy God.
